Ratanak On April 17, 1975 Phnom Penh fell to the revolutionary Khmer Rouge army. In the wake of the destruction which followed, Cambodia was isolated by the western world - its people faced with poverty, sickness and the loss of home and family. Twenty five years later, the country has yet to recover. This is the story of two peole born a generation apart, born a world apart. They would never meet but the death of one would forever change the life of the other.
