Follow Mar as they enter Syrland Studio in Reykjavik, Iceland to record their debut album. Through the camera's eye, we observe the challenges of carrying out creative ideas, tensions of a band/manager relationship, and the difficulty of funding an album that Mar had come thousands of miles to record. Using interviews and collected footage from the trip, "This is an Experiment", allows us to see a studio diary of a modern band in todays world.
