The Fair Trade documentary recounts the story of fair trade entrepreneur Tamara Johnston, who, devastated by the death of her fiance, makes a bargain with God: "show me a life worth living or I'm out of here." She quits her dream job to become an activist for social justice causes, but her despair remains. As she nears the deadline of her bargain, a trip to Africa reveals what else is required of her in exchange for a sustainable life.
